What Must I Do to be Saved?

HEAR God’s Word

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. – Romans 10:17
And he told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house, who said to him, ‘Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon whose surname is Peter, who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved.’ – Acts 11:13,14

BELIEVE in Jesus as God’s Son and your Savior

…but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. -John 20:31
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. – Hebrews 11:6
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. – John 8:24

REPENT of your sins that have separated you from God

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. – Luke 13:3
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:38
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, – Acts 17:30

CONFESS Jesus as the Son of God and the Lord of your life

Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” – Acts 8:37
…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. – Romans 10:9-10

BE BAPTIZED for the remission of your sins, at which time Jesus will add you to His church

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let everyone of you be
baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you
shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:38
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ
Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him
through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the
glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we
have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall
be in the likeness of His resurrection. – Romans 6:3-5

REMAIN FAITHFUL and Grow In Christ

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your
faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control
perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and
to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will
be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For
he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten
that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more
diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you
will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into
the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:5-11
